Job Description:
1. Design and develop embedded software for drone flight stack including guidance, navigation and control, flight mode logic, onboard interfaces

2. Program 32-bit microcontrollers to interface with peripherals such as sensors, payloads, wireless radio devices, actuators, displays, SOCs, etc.

3. Perform unit level testing and debug in a software/hardware-in-the-loop test environment

4. Work closely with systems integration and test engineers and support flight testing and debug of flight stack code

5. Participate in writing/reviewing requirements, release planning, sprint planning as part of the product development process.

6. Maintain up-to-date documentation for software design, software code, release notes

Candidate Profile:
Bachelors/Masters Degree in ECE/CS or other applicable fields

Experience: 1 - 3 years

Must Haves Skills:
1. Well versed in C++ programming for embedded systems/RTOS systems and programming for 32bit microcontrollers

2. Familiarity with Object Oriented Programming and Object-Oriented design.

3. Experience in working with and developing code for drone flight stacks such as Ardupilot, PX4, etc.

4. Experience in development on ROS is a plus

5. Experience in interfacing common robotics sensors such as IMUs, magnetometers, pressure sensors, ultrasonic sensors, LIDARs etc.

6. Familiarity in working with low-level hardware communications protocols (e.g. serial, SPI, I2C, CAN, CameraLink, SMBus).

7. Hands-on experience in embedded software testing and debugging using industry standard tools

8. Working knowledge of Linux and Git/Github for code development is a plus

9. Knowledge of unmanned aerial systems and their control systems is a plus
